General Terms & Conditions (Santa Specials have their own T&C's, below the general section)

-All trains depart from and return to Shackerstone Station unless stated on the individual event or train information.

-Please allow adequate time to park and walk to the station before your booked departure time. We are not able to hold departure of trains for late arrivals. We recommend you arrive a minimum of 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time.

-For some special events, customers are allocated seats, so please check that you book the full number in the party at the same time. Later bookings can not be guaranteed to have seats near any prior booking.

-Cancelled bookings will not be refunded. However, with more than 7 days notice to your booked date, we will endeavor to transfer your booking to another service upon payment of a £10 administration fee. Should this not be possible due to no further availability, or with less than 7 days notice, no refund or exchange will be given.

-No refunds can be provided for visitors who do not arrive in time for the booked departure time of their train or event.

-Our trains may be either steam or diesel hauled and we will endeavor to use the locomotive advertised but this is subject to availability.

-Every effort will be made to run trains according to this timetable, but unforeseen circumstances may entail alterations or cancellations.

-The railway operators can accept no liability for such cancellations or late running of any train and reserves the right to vary the provisions without prior notice. E&OE.

-Accessibility -Due to the design of the historic coaches used for our services, wheelchairs cannot gain access to the passenger areas of the coaches. If a member of your party is a wheelchair user, please call to discuss your specific requirements and make a booking.

- Any gifts purchased from this website are non-refundable (this includes, but not limited to, "Footplate Rides", "Footplate Experiences", "Gift Vouchers" etc...)

Santa Specials Terms and Conditions:

-All "Santa Special" train's depart from and return to Shackerstone Station.

-Please allow adequate time to park and walk to the station before your booked departure time. We are not able to hold departure of train's for late arrivals. We recommend you arrive a minimum of 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time.

-Customers are allocated seats, so please check that you book the full number in the party at the same time. Later bookings can not be guaranteed to have seats near any prior booking.

-Silver and gold compartments are designed for 6 or 8 people, so it is not always possible to add extra passengers.

-If any passengers are added last minute, full price will be charged but hamper/present may not be available due to short notice.

-Minor changes to bookings will incur a £10 administration fee (such as changing passenger details, ages, additional passengers, etc...) Date and Time changes MAY be possible, but as this event usually sells out, we regret that if we cannot move your booking, it will be subject to cancellation as per the refund policy detailed below.

- Refund policy for any "Santa Special" bookings cancelled by customer:

--- Any bookings cancelled with more than 28 days notice will receive a 80 % refund.

--- Any bookings cancelled with between 10 and 28 days notice will receive a 50 % refund.

--- Any bookings cancelled with less than 10 days notice will receive no refund, but you will have the option to receive standard tickets to our mince pie specials operating on 30th December - 1st January instead (no presents, hampers or any other "Santa Special" extras will be provided) 

 

-In the event you miss your train's departure time, no refunds will be given.
